Terms and conditions:
1. Program Overview
The Young Falconers Club is a 5-week educational program designed to introduce young people to the art of falconry and bird of prey care. The program fee covers all scheduled sessions within the 5-week period.
2. Age Requirements and Supervision
- Participants must be between ages 11-14 years old
- All participants will be supervised whilst on site and parents will not be able to attend unless paying normal admission.
- All participants must be physically able to handle birds of prey safely under supervision
3. Booking and Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a place
- Payment confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions
- Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of completed booking form and full payment
4. Attendance and Refund Policy
- NO REFUNDS will be given for non-attendance on any scheduled day(s) during the 5-week program
- The program fee covers all days within the 5-week period regardless of actual attendance
- Missed sessions cannot be made up or transferred to future programs
- No partial refunds will be given for early withdrawal from the program
5. Cancellation by Huxley's Bird of Prey Centre
- We reserve the right to cancel sessions due to extreme weather conditions, bird welfare concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control
- In the event of cancellation by the Centre, alternative dates will be offered where possible
- If alternative dates cannot be arranged, a pro-rata refund will be provided
6. Health and Safety Requirements
- All participants must complete a health questionnaire before commencement
- Any medical conditions, allergies, or medications must be disclosed
- Participants with severe allergies or medical conditions may be excluded for safety reasons
- All participants must follow safety instructions at all times
- Appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes must be worn (no sandals or flip-flops)
- Gloves and equipment will be provided by the Centre
7. Behaviour and Conduct
- Participants must behave respectfully towards staff, birds, and other participants
- Disruptive or dangerous behaviour may result in immediate removal from the program without refund
- Participants must follow all instructions given by qualified staff members
- Mobile phones should be switched off or on silent during sessions
8. Liability and Insurance
- Huxley's Bird of Prey Centre carries public liability insurance
- Parents/guardians participate at their own risk and that of their children
- The Centre is not liable for personal injury except where caused by proven negligence
- The Centre is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property
- Participants engage in activities at their own risk
9. Medical Treatment Consent
- In case of emergency, staff are authorized to seek immediate medical treatment
- Parents/guardians will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible
- Emergency contact details must be provided and kept up to date
10. Photography and Media Consent
- By participating, you consent to photography/filming during sessions for promotional purposes
- Images may be used on websites, social media, and marketing materials
- If you do not consent to photography, please inform us in writing before the program starts
11. Weather Policy
- Sessions will proceed in most weather conditions
- In case of extreme weather (as determined by the Centre), sessions may be cancelled or moved indoors
- Participants should dress appropriately for outdoor activities
12. What's Included
- All falconry equipment and safety gear
- Professional instruction from qualified falconers
- Interaction with various birds of prey
- Educational materials and activities
- Certificate of participation upon completion
13. What's Not Included
- Food and drinks (are available for purchase)
- Transportation to and from the Centre
- Personal protective equipment (though basic equipment is provided)
14. Data Protection
- Personal information will be stored securely and used only for program administration
- Information will not be shared with third parties without consent
- Data will be retained for insurance and safety purposes as required by law
15. Special Requirements
- Any special dietary requirements or accessibility needs must be notified at time of booking
- The Centre will make reasonable adjustments where possible
- Some activities may not be suitable for all participants due to safety considerations
16. Force Majeure
The Centre shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemic-related closures.
17. Disputes and Governing Law
- Any disputes will be handled through discussion and mediation where possible
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
- Any legal disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts

By booking and paying for the Young Falconers Club, parents/guardians confirm they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Program participants and their parents/guardians acknowledge the inherent risks involved in handling birds of prey and voluntarily assume these risks.
